About Us
A group of parents and carers based in the Mitcham Hills came together in August 2021 with a shared concern - that our children will soon not have a hospitable planet to live on…and that we could have done more.
The School Strike for Climate Day was approaching, but not all parents, carers and children were able to take the day off to show their concern. It was from there that the Eco Walk ‘n’ Roll to School was born.
Our flagship is the Eco Walk ‘n’ Roll to school where, on School Strike for Climate Day, hundreds of parents, carers, children and community members meet at pre-defined locations. Wearing yellow, with banners and chants in the air and vehicles honking their support, we walk and roll to school as a large group in a public demonstration that climate action is something that matters to us and we want to see more action on it.
Our goal? Politicians and decision-makers see the growing community wants more action on climate change, and from there can gain the courage and conviction to make policy and change law to save our planet for our children.
